Cleaning Tips for the Kitchen

Microwaves

For microwave cleaning use Bicarbonate of Soda on a clean damp sponge to clean gently inside and outside the microwave - without leaving a harsh chemical smell. Rinse well with water. For freshening between uses, place an open box of Bicarb in your microwave. Remember to replace every month or so and to pour the contents down the sink to help keep the drain fresh.

Another useful tip is to place a microwave safe bowl with white vinegar in it. Use the microwave on full power until the vinegar starts to boil. Leave for 5 - 10 mins and let the steam help loosen any grease and food spills/splats.
