Kid’s slime

The slime craze is doing the rounds again in UK schools. Here's an easy recipe using just:

Here are the simple steps:

  1. Pour glue into a bowl
  2. Add food colouring and stir until consistent and the colour you desire
  3. Add 6 tablespoons of starch to a bowl of hot water (of slightly lower volume than the glue) and stir until milky and all the starch is dissolved.
  4. Stir until the mixture gets 'gloopy'
  5. Knead the mixture by hand until it reaches the desired consistency. If it's too wet and sticky, add a little more of the starch solution; if it's too dry and firm, add some more glue.

Store the slime in a container with a lid (when the kids aren't playing with it).
