Got a tough task? Get some Extra Strength White Vinegar (while you can)

Although you may think that ‘Spring Cleaning’ is a tradition from the past, nothing could be further from the truth. Spring is still the time of year when cleaning product sales reach their peak. So even if people don’t dedicate  a whole weekend to the pastime, we probably all pay a little more attention to our homes as we come out of social hibernation, have friends round for BBQs or notice the dirty windows as the sunlight streaks through.

In recognition of the tough tasks that we do on an occasional basis, Dri-Pak has produced a limited edition version of its white vinegar. We have produced an ‘Extra Strength’ version which has 50% more of the active ingredient (acetic acid). It’s ideal for tougher cleaning tasks:

  • Descaling taps, shower heads, appliances etc
  • Exterior windows that may not have had a clean since autumn
  • Tough collar stains

….and generally any other tasks that you use white vinegar for.

But get it while you can as it’s a limited edition and when it’s gone, it’s gone… as they say!

If you’re struggling to find it locally, ask your independent hardware store to get it in from their wholesaler. You can also get it online from The Vintage Wash House or the Little Home Is….Company.

  1. What is the acidity level of the ‘extra strength’ white vinegar please and what is the acidity level of the regular white vinegar spray?

    1. Hi Jackie – yes it will, as will the ordinary white vinegar. It will clean and deodorise. We’d also advise placing some bicarbonate of soda, either in a dish or just opening the packet and simply leaving it in there. This will be the best long term solution.
